PROM DISCOUNT DAY - £25pp

Leading up to the busy prom period we allocate days purely for prom spray tanning. they days are highly discounted. these spray tans must be booked in advance and you must be over 16 years of age to have a spray tan. A parent or guardian must be present whilst you have your spray tan.

BRIDAL PARTY PACKAGE - £25pp (only for group bookings of 6+)

We use St Tropez express spray tan solution. This product is known for its streak free, flawless formula and we have had 100s of amazing reviews. Express formulas are amazing because it means that you can pick your tone. the express formula developed quickly therefore you can wash off after 1 hour for a light tan, 2 hours for a medium tan and 3 for a dark tan.

St. Tropez offers products suitable for most people, but a patch test is recommended, especially for sensitive skin, to check for allergic reactions. Common allergens in self-tanners include ingredients like Dihydroxyacetone (DHA), propylene glycol, fragrances, and botanicals like linalool and d-limonene.

Patch tests are recommended but not required. patch tests can be carried out during these times at our Horsforth store:

Here is a comprehensive guide to spray tan before and after care, focusing on preparation for an even application and maintenance for a long-lasting glow

Before your spray tan

1–2 days before

• Exfoliate thoroughly: Use an oil-free scrub or exfoliating mitt to remove dead skin cells. Pay extra attention to rough areas like your elbows, knees, ankles, and hands.

• Complete hair removal: Shave at least 12–24 hours beforehand, or wax at least 24–48 hours in advance. This allows your pores time to close, preventing the tanning solution from causing dark, dotted spots.

• Moisturize well: Keep your skin hydrated with an oil-free lotion in the days leading up to your appointment. Healthy skin holds a tan better and prevents patchy results.

• Get other beauty treatments: Schedule any manicures, pedicures, or massages before your spray tan. Soaking and scrubbing during these treatments can strip your tan. 

On the day of your appointment

• Shower only with water: Wash with only water and a light exfoliation with a mitt. Avoid using any body wash or soap, as it can raise your skin's pH and affect the tan's color. Make sure your shower is at least 3 hours before your appointment to allow your skin to cool and dry completely.

• Skip all products: Arrive with completely clean and bare skin. Do not apply any makeup, deodorant, perfume, or lotion, as these can create a barrier and cause an uneven tan.

• Wear loose, dark clothing: Choose comfortable, loose-fitting, and dark-colored clothes and flip-flops. Tight clothing, socks, and sneakers can rub off the tan while it develops.

• Cover your nails: A coat of clear nail polish will protect your fingernails and toenails from discoloration.

• Avoid moisture: Do not wash your hair right before the appointment, and if it is raining, cover your skin completely to avoid raindrops from streaking your tan

After your spray tan

During the development time (First 1–3 hours)

• Stay dry: Follow your technician's recommended development time. For the first several hours, avoid all moisture, including showering, sweating, and applying lotions.

• Avoid friction: Do not touch or rub your skin, cross your legs, or wear tight clothing. This can smudge the developing tan.

• Rinse gently: For your first shower, use lukewarm water and avoid using any soap, body wash, or washcloths. You will see a lot of cosmetic color wash off, which is normal. Simply use your hands to gently wash until the water runs clear.

• Pat dry: Instead of rubbing with a towel, gently pat your skin completely dry. 

Extending your tan (Post-first shower)

• Moisturize daily: Apply a hydrating, oil-free moisturizer at least once or twice daily. Proper hydration keeps your skin from flaking and helps the tan fade evenly.

• Avoid harsh ingredients: When moisturizing, avoid products containing alcohol, mineral oil, or alpha-hydroxy acids (AHAs), as these can strip your tan.

• Take short, cool showers: Long, hot showers and baths accelerate fading. Use a gentle, sulfate-free body wash with your hands and avoid scrubbing.
